Invisible Man

It was January, snow still on the ground. I had just moved into a new house, although there were rumors it was haunted. At the moment it was about 11:30 p.m. There was a new movie on, so I was snuggled up with popcorn on the old, dusty couch. There was barely any electricity, only for the kitchen and the bathroom. I was thinking about how I could ever get used to this house when suddenly I heard a large thump at the glass door that leads out to the porch.

'Probably just some snow' I thought to myself as a louder thump against the glass wrung again. The movie went to commercial break so I looked over only to see a very grubby man with a slight stubble on his chin and a smug smiles on his face. A dagger was held in his left hand.

I looked more closely, shocked that there were no footprints in the snow. I dropped the bowl of popcorn.

It was his reflection.
